The Canadian Beef Industry Conference returns this August in Winnipeg, and registration is now open!
CBIC brings together producers, researchers, government, and industry from across the country for a few focused days of connection and practical discussion. The 2026 program is built around the conversations and insight shaping the future of Canadian beef, with additional speakers and sessions to be announced in the coming weeks.
CBIC 2026 is co-chaired by Manitoba’s own Kristine Tapley and Arvid Nottveit, bringing together experience across sustainability, industry collaboration, and on-farm realities. Their leadership is helping shape a program that is practical, relevant, and grounded in the needs of the sector.
Start the week with the Pre-Conference tour hosted by Manitoba Beef Producers, offering a look at the province’s agricultural landscape with a few unexpected stops along the way.
We are pleased to welcome Gitane De Silva as a keynote speaker. With experience across government, energy, and Canada–U.S. relations, she brings a clear perspective on the policies, trade relationships, and market forces shaping Canada’s operating environment. Known for making complex issues accessible, her keynote will provide valuable context for what lies ahead for the beef sector.
Two industry meetings will take place during CBIC:
• Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Beef Annual General Meeting
• Canadian Beef Check-Off Agency Annual General Meeting
These are scheduled during the week and included within one registration for ease of planning.
Register for the conference here. Additional information will be made available as speakers are confirmed.
