Manitoba Beef Producers is hosting a live demo on July 10, 2024 between 1-5pm at the Ashern Auction Mart, focusing on data management hardware/software that is available to improve efficiencies on the farm.

• Watch different data collection hardware and software configurations working in real time.
• Learn which scale heads, tag readers, and other devices might work best for your operation’s goals.
• See how data can be used to make informed decisions that improve productivity and profitability of your operation.
• Discuss and share ideas with other producers.

We will also be discussing new traceability requirements and tools that are being developed to help simplify this effort, to make it a more effective system for tracing disease outbreaks and to potentially help with ownership confirmation. This ties in well to recent livestock inspection discussions that the MBP Board of Directors is working on.

All producers are welcome to come out to this free workshop, not only to take in some valuable information, but also to interact with peers in the industry.

A light meal will be served after the workshop. There is no charge to attend but advance registration is appreciated to assist with meal planning.
